When Incubator connected with Ted Wilson, we got a whole lot more than just a vocalist. Ted is a man blessed with many talents. Yet, with all his abilities, he remains humble and teachable. He truly is a man after God's own heart. I worked as Ted's manager for six years (from 2002 to 2008) and I'm amazed to reflect on his talents and accomplishments. Year in and year out I heard from Ted, "I want to do better." That really is the hallmark of a committed artist… not to mention the kind of person you just want to hang around with to do Kingdom stuff. Incubator is a ministry label that is committed to helping artists define, develop and launch their ministries. We are proud to count Ted Wilson in a select brood of those who have faithfully applied themselves to that arduous task.

It was a demanding time when I was helping Ted transition from being on staff at his church to launching out full time with his music ministry. There were goals and expectations and pep talks and strict accountabilities. It was an intense time of focus and a practical time of producing results. A lesser man would have given up under the pressure, but not Ted. He is an artist who sets his sight on something and goes for it with audacious faith. I guess that outdoorsman's background comes in handy in lots of ways in his life!

I've had the opportunity to hang out with Ted's family and they've really blessed me. Ted's love of the Lord and his care for his wife and children are evident. Here at Incubator we're always preaching that your family needs to be more important than your ministry because what does it matter if you succeed at ministry but lose your family? Ted understands that crucial sense of balance and he applies himself to maintaining it.

Keeping track of a creative genius can be challenging. He might be in his shop crafting a whistle, in his garage building a hunting bow, or in his studio arranging a band piece…you just never know! But one thing I do know about Ted Wilson… I will find him doing good things with a heart to serve the Lord and bring honor to His name.
